Introduction

This platform is a reference encyclopedia of Islamic historical figures and their lineages. We respect your privacy and collect the minimum data needed to operate the service. This document explains what we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

User accounts: on registration we store your email, name, a hashed password (Argon2id), and your two-factor settings if you enable them.

Usage data: we log activity events (sign-in, page views, searches, marking figures) for analytics and to improve the service.

Reports and contributions: if you submit a report or contribution, we store its content and related context (record type, URL, locale). Reports can be sent without signing in.

Cookies

We use a single secure, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

Data retention

Raw activity events are kept for a limited period (set by the administrator, six months by default) and then deleted, while aggregated statistics remain anonymized. Your account data is kept until you request its deletion.

Your rights

You can edit your account details or request full deletion of your account. Deleting your account removes the personal data associated with it.
